About the Role

The main purpose of this role is to stay compliant with the audit of the Group accounts as well as for the audit and accounts preparation of all the subsidiaries within the Group. Overall, the Group consists of more than 50 companies, compliance of which is managed by various members of the External Reporting Team.

 

 

What You’ll Do:  

  • Preparation of subsidiaries’ financial statements under IFRS/FRS and respective local GAAP as per the jurisdictions’ requirements within the timelines, which are managed in-house.
  • Preparation and coordination with consultants for the preparation and audit of local
  • subsidiaries’ financial statements under respective local GAAP.
  • Coordination with Auditors, consultants, and other inside stakeholders (Taxation, Company Secretarial, and Finance Operations).
  • Support in preparation of quarterly group accounts, including management report and reporting package.
  • Ensure timely submission of various surveys to government authorities.
  • Preparation of various Balance sheet schedules on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure proper lease accounting for new and old assets as per IFRS.
  • Work on continuous improvements and automation.
  • Monthly MIS reporting and closing activities.
  • Gaining knowledge on technical accounting and demonstrating its application.

About You

For this role, you will also have the following:

Qualifications: 

  • Semi-qualified Chartered Accountant

Or

  • Postgraduate diploma in IFRA (ACCA – UK).

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Must have significant experience in dealing with the preparation of financial statements under local GAAP of entities within Europe and RoW.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S4HANA.
  • Reporting experience in Big 4 / Industry in addition to articleship experience from Big 4.
  • Self-starter, strategic mindset, results-driven, stakeholder-centric focus, team player, and accountability.
  • Open and adaptable to challenging environments.
  • Ability to work with different Global cultures and different time zones.
  • Competent with spreadsheets (Excel) and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and use strong writing and verbal skills to communicate facts, figures, and ideas to others.
  • A positive and ‘can-do’ approach, biased towards finding solutions and embracing change.
