About the Role
The role of the Senior Medical Information Executive is to ensure delivery of high-quality medical information services both reactively to external customers and proactively to internal customers, which conforms to all relevant legal requirements, Codes of Practice, and company guidelines and policies. The role supports the appropriate, effective, and continued use of ADVANZ PHARMA products by providing high-quality responses to requests for medical information, either directly or via a distributor and partner network.
What You’ll Do:
- Ascertain provision of timely, high-quality, tailored, and compliant medical information to unsolicited medical information requests by phone or e-mail, or other appropriate medium for external (Health Care Professionals- HCPs) and internal customers (Employees and Consultants) in order to facilitate the appropriate, effective, safe, and continued use of company products;
- Provide Medical Information for the Australian /New Zealand Affiliate according to local procedures.
- Oversight and quality control of medical information level 1 activities (answers contained in Prescribing Information or in standard medical documents), by the external vendors, including review of activity reports, pharmacovigilance reporting and reconciliations with PhV service, product complaint reports to ensure vendors follow their responsibilities as outlined in applicable agreements and/or contractor procedures.
- Provide product trainings to the Medical Information vendors or other internal services.
- Ascertain Medical Information compliance for identification and timely and accurate reporting of spontaneous adverse drug reaction reports / product quality complaints, as well as reconciliation activities with Pharmacovigilance and Quality services in line with legal and company requirements.
- Proactively create and update standard medical response documents such as FAQs (frequently asked questions) and Medical letters, communication to the vendor.
- Support local affiliates and partners for Medical Information activities and perform reconciliations regarding Medical Information enquiries.
- Participate in the setup and updates of Quality documents related to Medical Information, such as SOPs and work instructions.
- Upload of product information (SmPC, PIL) to local regulatory databases (i.e., eMC, medicines).
- Provide medical and scientific updates: Literature screening within PubMed, relevant information from current congresses, and clinical trials, and share information with the medical team.
- Participate in the update and re-organisation of the scientific database.

About You

For this role, you will also have the following:
Qualifications:
- Science Graduate (Chemistry / Biology / Pharmacy (or close equivalent))
Or
- Registered Pharmacist or Medic
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Significant experience in Medical Information or a related medical or scientific role
- Hands-on experience in Medical Writing/Medical Asset Development and Critical Appraisal of Clinical Literature.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with international Partners and stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of all applicable codes governing the Medical Information function, including codes of Practice (e.g. ABPI Code)
- Strong scientific and/or medical knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An ability to understand, analyse, and communicate relatively complex pharmacy, pharmacological, and clinical information about Advanz Pharma products in a systematic, fair, and balanced way.
- Strong organisational skills with the capability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment and a team-oriented approach.
- Strong customer focus, self-driven, agile, motivated, and proactive, solution-driven.
- Ability to work with different Global cultures and different time zones.
- Competent with spreadsheets (Excel) and PowerPoint
- A positive and ‘can-do’ approach, biased towards finding solutions and embracing change.
