About the Role
As ADVANZ PHARMA continues to strengthen its position as the partner of choice for specialty, hospital, and rare disease medicines, we have an exciting opportunity for an Executive- Artworks Implementation.
What You’ll Do:
Idea generation
- As a senior member of the regional BD team to seek out and introduce differentiated ideas aligned to current and future proposed business strategy & infrastructure, delivering sustainable revenue.
- Meeting with 3P developers, CMOs, dossier developers and other pharma companies to present ADVANZ PHARMA as a partner of choice
- Working cross-functionally within the company, providing timely feedback on ideas and accurate and complete input into internal pipeline management teams.
- To champion ADVANZ PHARMA amongst all relevant external stakeholders
Deal Management
- To develop robust, sustainable rationales for business cases.
- To identify & partner with CDMO partners for the delivery of pipeline projects.
- Where applicable to investigate multiple sources and recommend the most suitable for ADVANZ PHARMA.
- To work with the SAM team to ensure CMO partners are consistent with supply-chain strategy
- The development and management of Heads of Terms, and commercial contracts through to completion.
- The coordination of project due diligence activities (Regulatory / Quality / IP / Medical).
- Work with the commercial business units (primarily in markets where the company has a direct sales presence or plans to build a direct presence) to identify new product development, licensing, and portfolio optimization opportunities.
- To lead on-going reviews of the business case prior to Product Launch
Alliance Management
- To support the Global New Product Introduction team as a point of escalation supporting the removal of potential delays / negative material changes to the project terms and deliverables.
- To facilitate/ contribute to project / commercial meetings to support delivery of the project.
Portfolio / Project Management
- To complete an appraisal document for all active projects. Working cross-functionally to ensure that all project details are accurate and up to date, including the P&L, project rationale, proposed timelines, diligence activities and feedback etc.
- To ensure regular reviews are conducted and valuations are consistent across the BD, Finance and BD platforms
- To feed all material project changes to Portfolio Management to ensure the accurate central capture of project details, and the Pipeline value and mix.
- To attend all cross functional team meetings to support the development of opportunities into projects and onwards into deals.
- To prepare and present the project specific presentations necessary to receive each stage senior management, if required.
Cost Centre
- To ensure the activities are fully costed and are delivered within Budget.
- To be accountable for the regional BD P&L.
About You
We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference to patients’ lives.
For this role, you will also have the following:
Qualifications:
- Must have significant experience in business development activities in Regulated markets within Pharmaceutical Sector.
- Graduate or Post-graduate with science/pharmacy/Medical background is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of the UK & Ireland and Nordics generics and/or ‘generics plus’ market in / of regulatory processes and strategies.
- Experience in product pipeline development through in-licensing deals for Europe & UK market.
- Differentiated product pipeline development and differentiated product evaluation experience is necessary.
- Market access and Pricing & Reimbursement knowledge for UK & Ireland and Nordics markets is preferred.
- Cross functional project management leadership with Alliance management techniques.
- Financial modelling techniques and reports (NPVs) expertise.
- Experience in IMS Dataview, Newport, GLG and other market analysis tools.
- Strong Contract & deal negotiation skills with pro influencing skills at all levels.
- Excellent presentation skills.
