About the Role
The Senior Project Manager role will assume overall project management responsibility for the delivery of technology transfer (site transfer), API change, reformulation, RFQ, and process improvement projects. This will encompass effective planning, risk analysis, management, reporting and delivery of these projects on time and within the agreed budget.
What You’ll Do:
- Overall management responsibility for the assigned project in line with agreed business strategies, objectives, and project milestones.
- Lead the project feasibility assessment in consultation with finance colleagues and ensure that a timely decision is reached on the project's fate in consultation with the line manager.
- Engage with and form relationships with key internal stakeholders (regulatory, supply chain, artworks, quality, technical, etc.) and external stakeholders (CMO, consultants, etc.) early in the project lifecycle.
- Set up and chair regular and frequent cross-functional project team meetings. Ensure good meeting practice with application of clear/structured agendas, minutes, and actions.
- Regularly track and report on project status and provide updates in a timely fashion by updating the status in the project management system.
- Represent in various internal forums to update on the status of the project.
- Maintenance of the database to capture progress, plans, risk, issues, and milestones for the whole new project pipeline.
- Escalate risks/issues appropriately to remove barriers to success or advise of delays and other changes.
- Periodic review of project budget, ensuring that the spend is in line with the approved budget.
- Propose improvements or alternative approaches to obtain improved project deliverables.
- Other tasks as delegated by the Line Manager, which contribute to the overall running of the business unit.

About You

For this role, you will also have the following:
Qualifications:
- University degree in a Life Science
- Recognized project management qualification, such as Prince 2 practitioner, PMP, etc.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- ‘Hands-On’ experience of Project Management, including a robust understanding of a pharmaceutical company.
- Understanding of GMP requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
- Excellent understanding of Technology Transfer requirements and awareness of the Regulatory and Supply Chain functions and their constraints.
- Understanding of the Drug Development Lifecycle and awareness of the Regulatory and Supply Chain functions and their constraints.
- Competent with spreadsheets (Excel) and PowerPoint.
- Sense of urgency/willingness to operate within tight deadlines.
- Ability to work with colleagues across a broad range of disciplines and functions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and use strong writing and verbal skills to communicate facts, figures, and ideas to others.
- Aware of pharma operations like regulatory / manufacturing.
- Self-starter, result-driven and a good team player.
- A positive and ‘can-do’ approach, biased towards finding solutions and embracing change.
