About the Role

As ADVANZ PHARMA continues to strengthen its position as the partner of choice for specialty, hospital, and rare disease medicines, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer.

What You’ll Do:

• Engage with business teams like Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain to understand their information challenges.
• Analyse data sources like databases, spreadsheets, applications, and other third-party data repositories like IQVIA. Understand their structure and quality.
• Design optimized solutions for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics leveraging existing solutions around BW/ HANA, Power BI, Anaplan, and Boomi.
• Design, implement, and maintain an Azure Data Lake and Data Warehouse to support data storage, transformation, and analytics.
• Develop and optimize Azure Data Pipelines (Azure Data Factory) to ingest, process, and transform data efficiently.
• Ensure data quality and integrity across the data landscape by implementing governance, security, and best practices.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards to provide business intelligence and actionable insights.
• Leverage Power Apps to develop low-code/no-code applications for business process automation and data interaction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data solutions align with business needs.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows, storage, and performance issues.
• Stay updated with the latest Azure data services and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.

About You

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference to patients’ lives.

For this role, you will also have the following:

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate and Power Platform certifications.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Significant experience in Azure Data Engineering, including working with Azure Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Factory and SQL servers.
• Experience with AI/ML integration in data pipelines.
• Experience in building and managing ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
• Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines and DevOps practices
• Hands-on experience with Power Apps for application development and workflow automation.
• Strong knowledge of Azure security, governance, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Python, Spark, or SQL scripting for data processing and transformation.
• Proficiency in Power BI for dashboard development and data visualization.
