About the Role

As ADVANZ PHARMA continues to strengthen its position as the partner of choice for established brands and new launches in specialty, hospital, and rare disease medicines, we have an exciting opportunity for an Area Manager – CEE to join our International Commercial team.

This is a highly strategic role where you’ll be the main point of contact for multiple distributor partners across the Central and Eastern Europe region. Operating in diverse markets, you will manage and influence distributor relationships, drive product launches, and ensure commercial success — all while working collaboratively with internal teams such as regulatory, safety, and quality.

The position is fully remote and requires a self-sustained, entrepreneurial professional who can set goals, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results across eight to ten active countries.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and develop strong relationships with distributor partners across the CEE region.
  • Lead and support new product launches and acquisitions, ensuring launch excellence and alignment with corporate KPIs.
  • Negotiate and challenge distributor commercial and marketing plans to optimize value, price, and margin.
  • Monitor and report on distributor performance, taking corrective actions where required.
  • Collaborate with internal functions (regulatory, safety, quality, commercial support) to address distributor needs and ensure compliance.
  • Identify and implement value growth opportunities such as pricing strategies, tender execution, and portfolio rationalization.
  • Provide market insights including pricing, reimbursement, tenders, and competitor activity.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the region.

 

About You

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference to patients’ lives.

For this role, you will also have the following:

 

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline. (preferred)

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • 5–10 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 3–5 years in distributor management or a similar commercial role. (Required)
  • Proven track record of successful distributor relationship management in Europe/CEE markets.
  • Strong commercial skills, including sales, negotiation, and business development. (Required)
  • Experience in product launches — biosimilars experience is a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of pharmaceutical industry dynamics: regulatory, pricing, reimbursement, compliance, sales, and marketing. (Required)
  • Strong project management and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple markets and launches simultaneously. (Required)
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal); additional CEE languages are a plus.
  • Independent, resilient, and comfortable operating in a remote role. (Required)
