Main purpose of the role
- Ownership of the P&L of the promotable products - delivers revenue and EBITDA targets for all promotable products (e.g. innovative products, biosimilars or Specialty Generics).
- Contribution to, creation and delivery of the strategical and tactical plans as appropriate
- Ensuring compliance with all legislation and compliance rules.
- Leading all marketing activity across the Business including established portfolio, life cycle management and new product launches.
Key responsibilities :
Financial
- Leading the marketing activities to ensure optimized market insights, smart and differentiated go-to-market strategies, tactical deployment and promotional campaign execution, on time and in line with budgets.
- Analysing the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
- Oversees creation and distribution of regular metrics/reports (Key Performance Indicators) to business stakeholders to facilitate the assessment of effectiveness
- Manages the financial Operating Expenses Marketing budget for promotable products to ensure the spend delivers strong ROI
External Customers / Markets
- Is able to represent the company in front of relevant stakeholders if necessary
Operational:
- To ensure compliance of all promotional activity within the EFPIA and AKG Code of Practice & ensuring compliance sign-off is obtained prior to implementation
- Keep informed of developments in the fields of sales, communications and public relations and governance, relevant to our business and use this information to assist the business operate with initiative and innovation.
- Lead the development and implementation of specific agreed marketing activities
- Review data to provide input into new product development within various regions
- Lead an effective Marketing/Launch Excellence programme for new product launches
- Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, corporate development, regulatory, sales, medical, strategic development, pricing, supply chain, business intelligence, finance to effectively execute sales tactics in line with local strategy
Staff management
- Member of the DACH Leadership Team
- Manage the marketing team, with a clear vision, growth mindset, passion and high energy.
- Improve self through training and lifelong learning
- Coaching and development plans for direct reports
Business Development
- Identifying new product opportunities (development, in-licensing or acquisition) and feeding the requirements into the Portfolio and BD&L function
- Commercial assessment of opportunities with respect to Payors (together with Market Access)
About You
We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference to patients’ lives.
Experience & Skills
- 7 years minimum in pharmaceutical marketing; ideally including product launches
- Operational experience with biosimilars or originator brands in immunology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, or dermatology is a strong advantage, but not a strict requirement
- Deep understanding of the German pharmaceutical market; knowledge of Austria and Switzerland is a plus
- Strong digital capabilities and experience managing external agencies
- Proven ability to thrive in a lean team, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution.
- Fluent in German and English
