Key Account Manager (m/w/d) – Ophthalmology

Location: Sachsen & Sachsen‑Anhalt Region (Field‑based)

About the Role

As ADVANZ PHARMA expands its specialty and biosimilar presence across Europe, we are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to lead the launch of our ophthalmology biosimilar in the Sachsen & Sachsen‑Anhalt region. This is a high‑impact, customer‑facing role accountable for building strong clinical and commercial partnerships across hospitals, clinics, and specialist centres.
 
You will be the face of ADVANZ PHARMA in one of our strategically critical launch territories.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive adoption and sustained growth of ADVANZ PHARMA’s ophthalmology biosimilar portfolio.
  • Build deep relationships with ophthalmologists, clinical experts, hospital pharmacists, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Navigate tender processes, pricing discussions, and account strategy planning.
  • Execute a launch plan that ensures rapid uptake while maintaining long‑term trust with key accounts.
  • Deliver compelling product information and education to relevant stakeholders.
  • Represent ADVANZ PHARMA at conferences, congresses, and regional events.
  • Provide insights on market dynamics, competitor activity, and customer needs.

About You:

You are a driven and strategically minded KAM with a strong customer network, ideally in ophthalmology, and a passion for improving access to high‑quality treatments.

Qualifications:

  • Geprüfter Pharmareferent (required)

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of Key Account Management experience in pharma/biotech
  • Strong relationships in ophthalmology
  • Experience with product launches; biosimilars background is beneficial
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage complex accounts and multiple stakeholders
  • Commercial acumen, analytical strength, and strong planning ability
  • Ability to work independently and travel extensively across the regio
