About the Role

As ADVANZ PHARMA continues to strengthen its position as the partner of choice for specialty, hospital, and rare disease medicines, we are expanding our Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team within the DACH region. These field-based roles offer a unique opportunity to contribute to a young, dynamic, and strategically important team focused on biosimilars and additional therapeutic areas including rheumatology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, dermatology, and respiratory.

You will play a key role in delivering our Medical Affairs strategy on a national level and represent the voice of the patient through scientific engagement, strategic insights, and collaborative leadership. As the MSL, you’ll combine your scientific expertise with commercial awareness to help support both maintenance products and new launches. These positions are essential to supporting our commitment to scientific excellence and stakeholder engagement in Germany.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement a local MSL plan aligned with global medical strategy, covering launch readiness, scientific engagement, and knowledge sharing.
• Build and maintain high-quality scientific relationships with HCPs, external experts, and professional societies.
• Provide scientific education and high-standard responses to medical information inquiries, ensuring they are timely, accurate, and compliant.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional global teams, sharing medical insights to shape business and portfolio strategies.
• Support clinical research efforts including Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS), as needed.
• Lead or contribute to local medical education activities including congresses, symposia, advisory boards, and webinars.
• Mentor and onboard junior MSL colleagues, sharing best practices and helping foster a high-performing culture.
• Serve as the field-based scientific expert for assigned indications and products.
• Ensure activities align with local compliance regulations and global ADVANZ PHARMA standards

About You

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in patients’ lives through scientific excellence and strategic influence.

Qualifications:

• Advanced life science degree (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD or equivalent)
• Fluent in German; proficiency in English is desirable for global collaboration

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years' experience as an MSL in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in biosimilars or specialty care
• Strong scientific background with understanding across multiple therapeutic areas (biosimilars, rheumatology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, dermatology, respiratory)
• Strategic thinker capable of shaping team direction and bringing innovative ideas
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (including commercial, regulatory, pharmacovigilance, and access)
• Understanding of the German healthcare landscape and experience working within works council and local regulatory frameworks
• Willingness to travel frequently across assigned region (South or Central/East Germany)
• Proven ability to onboard or mentor junior colleagues is desirable
• Project leadership experience and an agile, solutions-oriented mindset
