About the Role
As ADVANZ PHARMA continues to strengthen its position as the partner of choice for specialty, hospital, and rare disease medicines, we have an exciting opportunity for a Vice President Iberia (Spain & Portugal).
This is a senior commercial leadership role with full ownership of the local P&L and a clear mandate to drive growth, lead change, and build a high-performing commercial organisation across Spain and Portugal. The role will play a critical part in shaping the future of the Iberian affiliate as ADVANZ PHARMA prepares for multiple biosimilar and complex hospital launches.
What You’ll Do:
- Own and deliver sales and profit targets across Spain and Portugal, with full P&L accountability
- Build, restructure, and scale the local commercial organisation to ensure the right capability, structure, and performance
- Provide strong leadership and strategic direction across sales, marketing, medical, and market access teams
- Own and deliver local launch excellence plans for pipeline products, ensuring effective localisation and performance tracking
- Act as the local market expert into global and European marketing and pipeline development teams
- Cultivate senior-level relationships with key hospital, payor, distribution, and commercial stakeholders
- Drive sales force excellence through KPI discipline, coaching, mentoring, and performance management
- Review and analyse regional performance metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and implement corrective actions

About You
We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference to patients’ lives.
For this role, you will also have the following:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or equivalent experience
- Thorough knowledge of local pharmaceutical marketing codes of practice, employment regulations, and ethical compliance
- Postgraduate or business qualification (e.g. MBA) is desirable
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of relevant commercial experience within biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare environments
- Proven experience building, leading, and restructuring high-performing commercial or sales teams
- Strong track record of driving sales growth within the Spanish hospital channel
- Demonstrated experience launching complex hospital brands or niche off‑patent pharmaceuticals in Spain
- Experience negotiating with hospital purchasing departments and managing regional tender processes
- Sound knowledge of Spanish pricing and reimbursement mechanisms for branded and generic medicines
- Working knowledge of the Portuguese healthcare system and tender environment is desirable
- Native Spanish speaker with fluent English, able to operate confidently with European and global stakeholders
- A positive and ‘can-do’ approach, biased towards finding solutions and embracing change
- Ability to work collaboratively across all business functions with open, honest, and respectful cooperation
